HOW TO POST A CLASSIFIED AD

FOR INDIVIDUALS: Sky Valley residents, as individuals, may post FREE classified ads on our web site. Sell for free all the things you'd normally sell in classified ads: lawnmowers, paintings, lamps, bikes, chain saws, outdoor furniture, fishing poles, tools, garage sales, etc. Enter
HERE to post a FREE ad.

FOR BUSINESS: For businesses or governmental agencies that wish to post ads seeking employees, to sell excess inventory, to seek bids or other things there is a small fee of $4.95 to post an ad. Please PRESS THE PAY PAL ADD TO CART BUTTON BELOW to post your ad.

If your business or governmental agency foresees placing numerous ads per month and you wish to receive one monthly invoice rather than pay with a PayPal button each time please contact our advertising department by clicking the ADVERTISE WITH US button on the top of the home page.

Why would we plug the SVC?  We write a column for them called Index Incidentals and they are pretty nice people.  Their not in it for the money either.  They just live what they do.

Kya The Saint

Many of you know Kya, the dog that has more or less been adopted by the town over the years.  Kya spends a lot of time in our back yard, on the deck, under the deck, drinking water, getting treats and whatever else she can conjure up.

She is fed by many folks in town but mainly by Yvonne and "Tiny".

Well, Kya nipped a lady in the leg the other day.  Kya is aging and like a human, she is getting a bit grouchy.

As of today 09.30.09 Kya is in a shelter to find out if she is aggressive.  After that, there are only two things that can happen, possibly 3.

If somebody builds a fence to enclose her, she can come back to town.

If she is deemed not aggressive, she will be placed in a humane setting and be allowed to live out her life.

If she is deemed aggressive, we don't want to go there.

We will keep you informed via News as It Happens.

Short Newsletter

Kind of a short newsletter this month.  I have personally been quite busy updating a website for somebody and I do some volunteer work for an organization.  I have been behind all month as some people did not meet the deadline for me to get things updated for products that need to go in to production around Oct. 1st.

We always make it up to you though with a longwinded newsletter some time in the future.  With winter coming, there is always plenty of news.

A Site to See:

The Straight Dope - I have personally been going to this site on a daily basis. It's owned by Cecil Adams (he's an author) and it really comes down to useless knowledge in most cases but some of his columns are quite interesting and he is known to be the "smartest man in the world", but that is part of the humor in his columns.

Readers can send emails with questions and he answers those of his choosing.  Most of the time these are old columns, however a couple of times a week you will see a new question posed along with his response.

Check him out at http://www.straightdope.com.

This Months Quote:

If the people who make the decisions are the people who will also bear the consequences of those decisions, perhaps better decisions will result.
