PLEASE PUT US IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK (WHITE LIST) AND ALLOW US THROUGH YOUR SP*%*M FILTER (INDEXWA.ORG).  WE HAVE HAD TO DELETE A FEW SUBSCRIBERS LATELY BECAUSE OF BOUNCES.  WE WON'T DELETE YOU IMMEDIATELY, BUT AFTER SEVERAL BOUNCES WE ARE FORCED TO.

Things appear to be rolling right along.  Thankfully we have had two donations this month.  We were trying to figure out how we were going to pay the next 3 months of bills for software updates and hosting.  These monies came just in time.  We figure we put out about $1,000.00 a year.  This includes travel, "SOME of our time (not too much as we do 99.9% of this for free) and software upgrades.

Again, we want to thank everybody for being a part of our lives......

Poll Results

Remember a few weeks back we emailed you asking if you would like to see a Bulletin Board or FORUM type data base on IndexWa.org?

We have had 20 votes and all are in the affirmative. We may be jumping the gun, but we have uploaded and configured the software and are pretty much ready to roll.  If the votes don't change, we will open up the Forums on August 7, 2010.  The location will be www.indexwa.org/forum/.

We are a bit concerned that we are doing the right thing but we will let the readers and users of IndexWa.org decide.  Hopefully the Forums are busy enough to justify the work.

For a sneak peek of the Forum Subjects, click http://www.indexwa.org/groups.pdf to view a PDF file.  The file will be available until August 7th.

PS: WE NEED MODERATORS.

Special Thanks

A very special thank you to the following:

David & Jodi Joanis for their generous donation.  They have helped pay for the set up of the Forums, which we have spent about 100 hours on and added some good software to on top of the software already in stalled.  THANK YOU!!

And many thanks to David Cameron and Louise Lindgrend for their donation to IndexWa.org. We almost feel like we owe THEM as they are of such great assistance with some historical questions that come our way.

It takes people like these people, to make people like us.

Thanks again!!

Arts Festival

Things are gearing up for the Index Arts Festival!  Mark the first Saturday in August to attend.  It's a huge event for a small town.  There will be more parking, plenty of arts and crafts to view and buy, music, food, and just plain fun!

It's our understanding there is still room for more artists.  If you are interested in a booth contact Yvonne Lawson at the email address below but do it soon or you will be out of luck.

Amy Needs Help

We received as shout from Amy Lazenby (she included her home address, but it is not posted here for security reasons), she lives on Index Ave.

Amy is confined to a wheelchair for most of this summer, due to breaking her left ankle in several places and severely spraining her right ankle. Help is needed with meals, household chores, and babysitting.

Please call if you can help
360-793-1202. Thanks!

We at IndexWa.org knows the community and we are sure help will be on its way soon Amy.  Get well!!

Block Watch Meeting

From Etta Hunter

A Block Watch meeting is scheduled for August 3, 2010 at 7 PM at the old fire hall in Index.

This meeting is only for people living in the town and does not include Skyko 1 or surrounding areas.

We would like to appoint block watch captains and put together a phone tree so we can get necessary information out.

After the meeting those interested will take a stroll around town to celebrate The Nation Night Out.

From the editor:  I don't think there will be a problem if folks from all the surrounding areas show up for this meeting.  It could be interesting and we can all learn from it.
